  • No. Though we primarily seek Veterans to fill management and leadership roles, not all of our searches are a fit for Veterans. Hence, for certain nuanced positions, we seek the best talent for our client’s needs, which includes civilians and other industry professionals. These candidates are still taken through our vigorous recruiting and vetting process, to ensure proper fit for each position.

  • No. Even though our mission is to help the Veteran population, our services are catered to support industry professionals who know, understand, and have implemented their value in the private sector. We seek to assist these experienced, established professionals to achieve their next milestone in their careers.

    Additionally, there is an immense community of organizations that particularly focus on the transitioning Veteran segment. These organizations range from the COMMIT Foundation to Hire our Heroes, Veteran mentoring platforms such as Veterati, and other various headhunting firms.

  • Yes. We are a for-profit recruiting firm.

    MilSpec Talent sources, screens, and places exceptional military Veteran candidates for into mid-to-senior level leadership positions within our client companies. To provide these best qualified candidates, we plan and execute a customized, in-depth search sequence for each employers’ unique needs.

    For this service, our clients pay a fee that is very competitive with other recruiting organizations.

  • We currently offer two types of services for our client companies.

    Contingency search charges a percentage of the placed candidate’s first year guaranteed compensation (to include guaranteed signing bonuses, annual bonus, or a relocation bonus, etc. if applicable) with only an engagement fee to initiate each search. The client only pays the full fee if a candidate is hired, and the engagement fee is credited towards the final invoice. MilSpec Talent offers a 90 day money-back guarantee for each contingency placement.

    Hybrid retained search charges a lower percentage of the placed candidate’s first year guaranteed compensation (to include guaranteed signing bonuses, annual bonus, or a relocation bonus, etc. if applicable), but requires an engagement fee paid up front to initiate the search.

  • Our candidate pipeline usually consists of experienced-hire Veterans in manufacturing, distribution/logistics, construction, energy, and defense sectors. However, for some nuanced searches, we look outside of the Veteran population to fill the need of the client. Veteran or not, our candidates are curated and selected for their leadership background, technical competence, and cultural fit, which will allow them to make an immediate impact on the organization.

    Historically, MilSpec Talent has placed candidates in Director-levels and above, up to C-suite positions.

  • In addition to the common social media platforms, we source Veterans from specialized groups, coalitions, partnerships, and networks.
